We set up Beef Direct in 2000 because we were fed up of ‘being taken for a ride’ by the supermarkets that dictated prices to the abattoirs for their beef and lamb. As Farmers’ Markets were starting to become popular, we literally ‘took the bull by the horns’ and decided to have a go at selling our own Welsh Black beef and Welsh lamb. Apart for the period of the ‘foot and mouth’ outbreak we have not looked back since!

A great deal of hard work and effort has been put into what we have achieved to date. However, the demand for our produce is continuing to grow every year and we now need to expand our current premises to cater for this extra demand. When this work is complete we will be in a position to offer an Organic option as well.

All our beef is Welsh Black beef as we only keep Welsh Black cattle on the farm.
